I first met Judy, Bente and Barbara over twenty years ago as we were all starting our companies and I have had the privilege of working with professionnaly them over this time. This is the second time the band has played their company year end party and it was a fun gig. Here's the link to the first party
Who says you have to play loud to get good tone?
A great time was had by all, the hotel was very friendly. I suspect the manager was worried that the noise levels were going to be too high. As you can hear we played so soft (less than 90 decibels) you can always hear the people talking - the Doctor Pickup rule of thumb at these dinner type gigs (private parties, weddings, Lions Clubs, restaurant gigs) is to look at the people sitting closest to the 'stage' and make sure they can have a conversation without having to shout into each others ears. In fact the first ten or so soundfiles is the band playing to an empty room as the 'aperitif' was in the ajoining room.
Gotta have attitude to warm up an empty room.
For my notes on the sound files and instruments used see Page 7 ,
So enjoy this and book the band for your next party ;-)

Here's Raphael with his Fender Stratocaster to be added into Stringkiller's Guitar Gallery
To the left of his knee is a Laney VC30 guitar amplifier, which he was using for guitar and keyboards,
then my Mesa Boogie Subway amplifier

While we're at it this is Philippe's number two bass
a rather beautiful looking and sounding Fender Precision Bass .
The color is Olympic White which has yellowed since 1974.
This fantastic guitar is in pristine condition.
Why haven't I put in in Stringkiller's Bass Gallery?

The bass you hear on my little Walkman recordings was this tiny Fender 20 watt amplifier.
The speaker above is a part of the Carlsboro 150 watt 4 channel sound system
with two 12" monitors with tweeter and horn) which Dr Pickup uses for small or quiet gigs
Notice the way we point it into the band this helps keep the volume down.
The Walkman is also on top of the cabinet facing in as the hardest thing to record is the bass. Here's the link to my gig bag and all the goodies in it.
